The City of Toronto Official Plan
envisions a city where walking and cycling help to relieve congestion, improve air quality and encourage healthy living.
Yet less than 2% of the City of
Toronto transportation budget is dedicated to walking and cycling infrastructure.
 
Toronto City Council needs to treat active transportation as a serious form of transportation that is just as important as cars, trucks and public transit.
